Finding Your Ideal Body Percentage (Including Examples)
There are 3 different body fat percentages you need to discover for yourself so you can make good decisions for what to do next on your fitness journey.
- Your lowest body fat percentage – Only sustainable for a short time to take photos or do some modeling
- Your highest body fat percentage – Top end of your lean gaining phase when it's time for a fat loss phase
- Your maintainable body fat percentage – A physique you're very happy with and you can go either into gaining more muscle or getting leaner. At this level you're weeks away from getting shredded.

I've used myself as an example. At 5f 10, I've been between 158 lbs up to 180 lbs being between 8% and 16% body fat.
